Firstly, I certainly don't know if this is only for tutorials or if this forum is also made to help those with computer problems. If I've overstepped a boundary, I apologize.....

OK. I have an ISO image that I want to make a copy of on a DVD disc. According to Nero, the burning process went well. Data verification, however, has proved otherwise. When Nero initiates the data verification process, it alerts me of read errors. I did some research and it turns out that the problem could lie in cleanliness of my drive. After inserting a CD/DVD drive cleaning disc and finishing the clean process, I decided that the drive was clean enough to go through the burn process successfully.

As anyone could guess (by the creation of this thread), the burn process went well but the disc still brings up read errors.

I'd like to know if the cleaning method I used was effective. If it isn't, what other solutions are there that I could use? Could it be that my drive has finally died? Thank you.....

The next step that i would inpliment is to connect another cable and then go from there, process of elimination

Some time CD/DVD drive cleaning disc can killl your CD/DVD drive . I lost one of my DxD drive using a CD/DVD drive cleaning disc.. By the way try new cd without Scratche .. then you will understand its dead or not!!

same problem wid me
i burned two 8 GB double layer DVD one for assassin's creed and other for Gears of war

burned perfectly widout any hitch
next moment whn i try to install , der u go wid READ ERROR

if you wanna install the game just use virtual cd or Alcohol 120 then use a no cd patch from to run the game without the cd..

Oh and reaper, yeah just try to connect another drive, burn, if problem consist it might be a faulty file.
