Arrow How To: Add Items To The Start-Menu.

How To: Add Items To The Start-Menu.
Created by Neefy.

Ever tried having a program, like HJsplit or MyspaceGopher(version without a setup) and being annoyed that it doesn't create an entry in the start menu?

Well, this is a quick little tut on how to add any program/video/whatever you like to the start menu!

Please note:
I have a Danish version of windows, so my things will be called other things, I will do my best to try to translate or figure out what it'd be called in English. PM me if you have any problems.
  • Locate what you want to add (in this case, HJSplit)
  • Now go to the start-menu folder (Usually located in X:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\Start Menu\Programs\
  • Once here, create a folder with any name you want (I'll pick HJSplit just for convenience
  • Now add the HJSplit.exe file inside that folder (together with whatever you want)
  • Now go to your start menu, and there it should be! (if you did it correctly)

Have fun! ~Neefy
